For your own safety, very rarely flood conditions may lead to postponement - the venue will contact you if ever a session is postponed.Duration: Sessions last for three hours including a toilet and refreshment break (soft drink or ice cream). To ensure a prompt start, please arrive a few minutes in advance of your start time and allow yourself time at the centre afterwards to shower and change.Numbers On Day: There is a student to tutor ratio of 8:1 and you will be in your own kayak.Spectators: Spectators are welcome and can hire boats in the main season to go out on the river. Safety remains their own responsibility at all times. Cover and toilet facilities are available and a restaurant is located in the park overlooking the river.Dress Code: You need swimwear, towel, pair of old trainers, tracksuit and long-sleeved top (they will get wet). A buoyancy aid and cagoule (waterproof top) are provided. If you wear glasses, either remove or firmly secure them. Contact lenses may be worn.Guidelines: You WILL get wet! There are hot shower facilities so please bring a change of clothes and a shower kit. The venue is a nationally approved BCU (British Canoe Union) training centre for children, licensed by the Adventure Activity Licensing Authority.Restrictions: Minimum age is 8 and maximum is 13. Take a trip through the beautiful Jephson Gardens and local nature reserve to explore and participate in games and challenges to put your new skills to the test.
