The windows and door can be either opened or closed to help you deal best with the weather.This style also features a veranda that provides the perfect way to relax out in the summer sun. Hope Tech X2 Disc Brake with Braided Hose: The Tech X2 replaces the award winning Mini brake - perfect for all XC and light freeride applications, this brake is a perfect blend of power, low weight and adjustability. TECH LEVER: New! Ambidextrous 'flip flop' design, CNC machined from a solid billet of 2014 T6 aircraft spec aluminium alloy - with a split clamp to allow easy set up and choice of positioning. New! Redesigned piston, lever and pivot assembly with external 'on the fly' reach and bite point adjustment dials. The new lever linkage eliminates freeplay in the lever giving a consistent and reliable feel to the brake. Further developments include bearing lever pivots for smooth, rock free use and increased lever ergonomics with a perforated lever for extra grip and feel. Also, a double sided reservoir lid makes for easy bleeding. The master cylinder assembly is completed with our durable anodised finish to withstand weather, cleaning and general trail use and a choice of either hi tensile polyester reinforced or Goodridge stainless steel braided hose to give a sharp, solid feel to the system. X2 CALIPER: This neat, slimline caliper optimises the very latest COSMOSWorks FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software to reduce unnecessary weight, improve aesthetics and create a high performance partnership with the NEW! Tech lever. The caliper is machined from a solid billet of 2014 T6 aircraft spec aluminium alloy and an increased piston diameter, generating more usable braking force on the rotor. A drip free bleed nipple and wide angel orientation of the fluid inlet connector have also been added, allowing for neater hose routing and cleaner servicing. The caliper is completed with our durable anodised finish to withstand weather, cleaning and general trail use and laser etched graphics let everyone know just what you've got! feel to the system. BRAIDED HOSE: A little bit of Hope can now be added to all hydraulic disc brakes. After extensive research and testing Hope have sourced an excellent, UK manufactured stainless steel braided hose - coming from the same factory as Goodridge. The hose features a Teflon central core, encased in a stainless steel braid. The braiding also has a plastic coating to prevent chafing on frames and forks. The hose allows no expansion, even in the most extreme situations, transferring all braking power from the lever to the caliper. It's also extremely tough as well as being more flexible than standard hoses. Its extraordinary performance features and high impact aesthetics make it stand out from the crowd. The rims are made of extremely high precision aluminium extrusions that make it possible to eliminate all the excess material, so they are ultra-light but at the same time very strong. The front and rear wheel profiles are differentiated: the 26 mm height for the front guarantees excellent aerodynamic penetration, while the 30 mm of the rear wheel means extremely effective transmission of your pedalling power. Both rims feature the special Fulcrum lightening between the anchoring points of the spokes and the patented Dynamic Balance TM system that guarantees the maximum stability of your bike even at high speeds. The hubs have a carbon fibre body and aluminium flange; the special bearings combined with a larger number of balls compared to the standard version place the Zero at the top in terms of smoothness and service life. But we wanted more, so we decided to substitute the high quality steel ball bearings with the ceramic USB (Ultra Smooth Bearing) specially developed by Fulcrum®. This solution significantly increases the smoothness of the wheels, reduces servicing needs, and further decreases the weight. The spokes are aluminium aero spokes arranged in a radial pattern on the front wheel for better aerodynamic penetration and in the Fulcrum® 2:1 pattern on the rear wheel for immediate transmission of pedal stroke with no dissipation of energy. The nipples are also aluminium, further reducing the peripheral mass of the wheels and thereby increasing their performance. Twin Axis Gear Fitting System Bell's next-generation Twin Axis Gear (TAG) fit system adjusts to the head on two axes - circumferentially as standard fit systems do, but also horizontally to better accommodate differences in the up/down position of the occipital lobe. For added comfort,the system arms are co-molded with soft rubber and positioned them higher to better accommodate eyewear. The result is the most adjustable, comfortable and easy-to-use fit system ever. Camlock strap levers Bell's Cam-Lock strap levers make it easy to adjust the straps around your ears. Simply open the cam.position comfortably and close the lever. Channeled ventilation Specially designed ventilation channels on the interior of the helmet's liner bring cool air in through the front, pass it over the head and flushes warm air out of the rear ports. Fusion In Mold Microshell In-molding is the process of bonding the helmet's Microshell to its EPS foam layer to provide a sturdier, more solid helmet. The EPS foam is shot into the thin Microshell cap when it's in the mold rather than formed separately and taped on later. This process was pioneered by Bell and is now the industry standard for all high-end helmets. In-Mold bottom wrap In-Mold bottom wraps bring a new level of durability, solidity and aesthetics to helmets. By bonding Microshell material to the lower half of the helmet, In-Mold bottom wraps cover what on most helmets is a less durable, exposed EPS foam. Internal reinforcement In order to maximize venting and minimize bulk, Bell high-end helmets feature internal reinforcement structures. These composite skeletons fortify helmets the same way rebar makes concrete stronger, allowing for bigger vents, more advanced styling and lighter weight, while still meeting stringent safety standards. Variable Position Visor Bell's top-of-the-line Variable Position Visor allows for 15 degrees of horizontal adjustment by using an imbedded clutch mechanism that holds the visor firmly at the desired angle.
