The Celestron Nex Star 102 SLT is a large, powerful 4' telescope and is designed to be an affordable entry level to mid-level computerised Go To telescope. The Celestron Nex Star 102 SLT Computerised Telescope offers a 63% increase in image brightness over 80 mm models. This short-tube telescope with a fast f/5 optical system gives images that are bright and crisp and is a powerful 4' telescope.Because of its wide 1.7 degs field of view, the Nex Star 102 SLT is optimal for scanning large areas of the sky and for superb land viewing.Using Celestron’s patented Sky Align (patent pending), simply input the date, time and location into the hand control then slew the telescope to any three bright celestial objects in the sky. You do not need to know the names of the stars. The Nex Star 102 SLT is compatible with 2' eyepieces and is a high quality 102 mm short tube style refractor with fully computerised Altazimuth mount.The Nex Star 102 SLT has a quick-release fork arm mount, optical tube and accessory tray for quick no tool set up.
