Dubbed ‘The Box that Rocks` the new family member has the same cool styling of the Gig Rac 300 and 600 but is a more powerful full stereo version featuring expanded 3-band EQ on the inputs two 7-band graphic equalisers and 10 high-quality preset digital effects. The 1000st is slightly higher than its brothers at 5U (8.75 inches/223mm) but still this tiny package delivers awesome power and performance with the ability to be slung over your shoulder.As with the Gig Rac 300 and 600 models there are two output signal paths one for the main front-of-house output and one for stage monitors. In normal stereo use the two power amps deliver a full 500W of power (@ 4 ohms) to the Main (FOH) output but the 1000st can be switched to provide 500 watts to the Main output and 500 watts to the Monitor outputs.Other additional features include pan controls for the inputs to the stereo bus a stereo graphic EQ on the main output and a 7-band mono graphic EQ on the monitor output 12-segment bar graph meters for both Main and Monitor outputs a stereo playback input (for CD playback for example) and a stereo submix input. In standby mode all channels are muted until the band is ready to play while the playback input remains active for interval music.Don`t worry about the weight however as the 1000st features a lightweight switched-mode PSU derived from years of successful switched-mode design at Soundcraft and BSS. The Gig Rac family of powered mixers for gigging bands and presentation systems has been joined by the most powerful version yet - the stereo Gig Rac 1000st which delivers a massive 1000 watts output power (500 watts per channel into 4 ohms).

As a mixer power amplifier and speaker system combined in a single compact unit its perfect for small events and club gigs. Mix in a CD player rhythm machine and/or keyboard with your voice - all without the need of a separate mixer or power amplifier. And since its made by Yamaha the MSR100 provides the high-quality performance you need with exceptional ease-of-use and reliability.High power great sound The 100-watt power amplifier built into the MSR100 delivers plenty of output ensuring that youll be heard with full dynamic range and clarity. This specially designed amplifier has been optimised for use with the speaker section of the MSR100 to give you the absolute clearest and cleanest sound possible. An 8" custom woofer handles the low end while a 1" pure titanium diaphragm compression driver delivers the high frequencies. The horn of the MSR100 provides a wide 90°X40° sound dispersion for optimum audience coverage.Versatile mixer and connections A simple but effective mixer built into the rear of each unit provides 3 inputs with master EQ for precise sound control. The input 1 XLR connector accommodates almost any microphone or line input (with a -50d B/+4d B pad switch) while line sources can be connected by phone jack to the input 2 and input 3 connectors. This makes the MSR100 perfect for small events and club gigs. Naturally each input has its own level control overall output. Two-band EQ - high and low - gives you further control over the final sound. A convenient CLIP indicator alerts you when the input signal is too high letting you avoid distortion. For larger events the MSR100s special LINK OUT jack can be used to connect multiple units and expand your sound coverage.Flexible placement options The MSR100 is compact lightweight and ready to go anywhere you go. Besides a built-in handle its distinctive design lets you stand the unit upright for conventional sound reinforcement or lay it on its angled side for use as a floor monitor. The MSR100 is as rugged as it is versatile with a durable polypropylene enclosure that stands up to the rigors of the road. The MSR400 is a bi-amplified 2-way system featuring 400 watts maximum burst power that drives the 12" cone woofer and 1.75" V.C. compression driver. Frequency division is accomplished prior to the power amplifiers via a line-level electronic crossover. This eliminates the problems with loss distortion and phase that are virtually unavoidable in conventional passive crossover networks. Another advantage of this type of system is that power can be optimally assigned to the low-frequency and high-frequency units for optimum efficiency as well as smooth natural balance across the entire audio spectrum.Wide Input Range & EQ Control The MSR400 accepts nominal input levels ranging from 36 d B to +4 d B meaning that you can directly connect any source from microphones to professional line-level gear. Three parallel-connected connectors are provided two balanced XLR-type connectors and one balanced phone jack that can be used as either inputs or parallel outputs. The MSR400 also features an input level control for matching with the source signal. Low and high EQ controls can be used to adjust the respective bands over a plus-or-minus 3d B range.Versatile Placement Speaker placement is as much a performance issue as it is a convenience and aesthetic issue. Proper placement will give you optimum sound as well as coverage while being as unobtrusive as possible. Of course the more options you have the better. The MSR400 can be stacked or pole-mounted (theres even a pole-mount hole provided on the companion MSR800W Powered Woofer). And its flyable so you can benefit from the unrivalled coverage and positioning precision that only ceiling suspension can provide. The MSR400 powered speaker can be used alone or in combination with the MSR800W powered subwoofer to assemble sound reinforcement systems from modest to massive.
