Historically a place of torture and abject misery for all incarcerated here, the Clink dates back to 1144 and is Britain's oldest prison. This foreboding gaol has a wealth of paranormal activity going on within its walls. Join an expert on torture during your ghost hunt to learn about some of the history. There have been over 50 reports of a woman playing with chains, glasses randomly smashing and doors banging closed. Working with the paranormal team you carry out your vigils, seances and experiments so you can experience first-hand the chilling activity of this historic venue. Availability: Available once a month in Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Nottingham and Wales and once every two months in Shropshire.Weather: The experience takes place mostly indoors and will go ahead so should not be affected. However the event may be cancelled due to severe snow or ice.Duration: Enter your haunted venue around 7pm and stay until the early hours of the following morning - if you dare.Numbers On Day: Share your experience with a maximum of eight other participants.Spectators: The event is exclusively for paying participants and therefore no spectators can be admitted.Dress Code: It can be cold, so dress warmly and comfortably. Wear soft-soled shoes and bring an extra jumper (in case of a sudden chill!). Spend the night in one of the UK's most haunted locations whether it be a pub, castle, school or hotel. You will begin with a delicious home-cooked supper before working with a paranormal team to investigate through the night and hopefully experience some paranormal activity. In small groups, you will take part in some fascinating experiments such as table tipping, glass moving, vigils and seances. The brave among you can even try an Ouija board. There are refreshment breaks throughout the night and the opportunity to discuss your findings at the end. Ghost hunters daring enough to experience this event should not be disappointed.
