The Arundel Play Centre offers; A tall wooden tower with 90 cm (3ft) square wooden platform accessible by wooden climbing rungs or an 8 rung by 4 strand commando net. The tall swing arm has two adjustable wooden swings for children of all ages (a baby seat can purchased additonally if required). From the front the platform extends a sturdy 3m (10ft) long green wavy slide. At the base of the tower is a sandpit with two seats. Detailed assembly instructions and all necessary fittings are provided to make construction an easy straight-forward DIY project. The Carisbrooke introduces a new range of features not seen in the UK before as well as incorporating proven modules from the existing range. The unit combines activities that will extend all the family from toddler to teenager in a safe, creative and social environment. Two wooden towers, each with an Art Deco feel curved wooden roof, are connected together with a unique wooden tunnel. A place to hide, to shelter, to sleep away a warm afternoon. Tunnels are gateways in every Adventure, stimulating the imagination and providing heaps of play value and fun. Access to one tower is provided by our wide wooden staircase with specially designed steps spaced for little feet and legs. The Gate Lodge was designed to be a combined activity centre for younger children as well as a Wendy House + Fort + Sleeping den when they are older. The upper cabin is large enough for three teenagers to sleep in comfort (although wood fires are not recommended!). Beneath the cabin is a play area 1.8m x 1.8m fitted with a table and two bench seats. There is enough room around the table to create a play area, even spread out some sand for small kids. The upper cabin can be accessed by a ladder with 5 x 40mm hardwood rungs, or the climbing wall fitted with professional grips. And not to forget the 3m green wavy slide & swing arm complete with 2 swings!. To complement the Gate Lodge is a range of accessories including a full-sized Assault Course, Commando Net and Clatterbridge. The walls of the cabin follow a unique design which allows natural movement of the timber without having to use nails or screw, resulting in no splitting of the wood. The overall feel of this Play Centre is of quality construction and components. They use pressure-treated planed rectangular timber to minimise splits and cracks. TREE AID work with some of the poorest villages in Burkina Faso, Ethiopia, Ghana & Mali where 90% of the people depend on trees for basic survival needs. TREE AID has raised more than £5.2m since it was established in 1987, directly benefiting more than 300,000 villagers, its patrons include actress Zoë Wanamaker CBE. ECOFURN work in partnership with TREE AID, through fundraising projects & by donating a percentage of their profit to the cause. TREE AID CHARITY TREE AID was established as a charity in 1987 by a group of foresters in response to the famine in Africa, brought to public attention by Band Aid and Live Aid. They wanted to provide a long term solution once the emergency relief efforts ended. They believed that trees could significantly reduce the vulnerability of communties in rural Africa's drylands to drought and famine in the future. The current strategy expands on the original concept, focusing on forest management and income, food and medicines from trees. TREE AID's vision is to see thriving and self-reliant communities in Africa's drylands. TREE AID's mission is to alleviate poverty sustainably, while improving the environment. Their major focus has been on supporting 164 Village Tree Enterprise groups in identifying products with which they can develop viable businesses. Working with the Food and Agricultural Organisation, we have helped them to produce business plans for these. This gives much greater purpose to the forestry work, in particular planting and protecting trees. It also means much greater impact in terms of long -term poverty alleviation for the villagers they support
