The Cisco Aironet 1240G Series provides local as well as inline power, including support for IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet Po E. The Cisco Aironet 1240G Series is a component of the Cisco Unified Wireless Network, a comprehensive solution that delivers an integrated, end-to-end wired and wireless network. Using the radio and network management features of the Cisco Unified Wireless Network for simplified deployment, the Cisco Aironet 1240G Series extends the security, scalability, reliability, ease of deployment, and manageability available in wired networks to the wireless LAN WLAN. The metal housing and industrial-grade components of the Cisco Aironet 1240G Series provide the ruggedness and extended operating temperature range required in factories, warehouses, big box retail environments, and similar facilities. High transmit power, receive sensitivity, and delay spread for 2.4-GHz radios provide the long range and large coverage area consistent with these applications. Access points can be placed above ceilings or suspended ceilings, allowing antennas to be discreetly placed below drop ceilings. The UL 2043 rating of the Cisco Aironet 1240G Series allows for placement of the access points above ceilings in plenum areas regulated by municipal fire codes. Public access applications such as large hotel buildings can also present a challenging RF environment; the antenna versatility of the Cisco Aironet 1240G Series, together with industry-leading range and coverage, provides reliable performance for the most demanding environments. The Cisco Aironet 1240G Series is available in two versions: unified or autonomous. Unified access points operate with the Lightweight Access Point Protocol LWAPP and work in conjunction with Cisco wireless LAN controllers and the Cisco Wireless Control System WCS. When configured with LWAPP, the Cisco Aironet 1240G Series can automatically detect the best-available Cisco wireless LAN controller and download appropriate policies and configuration information with no manual intervention. Autonomous access points are based on Cisco IOS Software and can optionally operate with the Cisco Works Wireless LAN Solution Engine WLSE. Autonomous access points, along with the Cisco Works WLSE, deliver a core set of features and can be field-upgraded to take full advantage of the benefits of the Cisco Unified Wireless Network as requirements evolve. Designed for rugged environments and installations that require antenna versatility, the Cisco Aironet 1240G Series features antenna connectors for extended range or coverage versatility and more flexible installation options. The DAP-2590 allows network administrators to deploy a highly manageable and extremely robust dual band wireless network. All three dual band antennas are detachable and can provide optimal wireless coverage in either 2.4GHz 802.11g and draft 2.0 802.11n or 5GHz 802.11a and draft 2.0 802.11n bands. Enclosed in a plenum-rated metal chassis, the DAP-2590 adheres to strict fire codes for placement in air passageways. For advanced installations, this new high-speed Access Point has integrated 802.3af Power over Ethernet Po E support, allowing installation of this device in areas where power outlets are not readily available. The DAP-2590 delivers reliable wireless performance with maximum wireless signal rates of up to 300Mbps in either the 2.4GHz or 5GHz wireless band. This, coupled with support for Wi-Fi Multimedia WMM Quality of Service features, makes it an ideal access point for audio, video, and voice applications. Additionally, the DAP-2590 supports load balancing features to ensure maximum performance by limiting the maximum number of users per Access Point. To help maintain a secure wireless network, the DAP-2590 provides the latest in wireless security technologies by supporting both Personal and Enterprise versions of WPA and WPA2 802.11i with support for RADIUS server backend. To further protect your wireless network, MAC Address Filtering, Wireless LAN segmentation, Disable SSID Broadcast, Rogue AP Detection, and Wireless Broadcast Scheduling are also included. Intro Designed to fit into any type of wall (or ceiling) system, allowing easy access into the cavity/void where regular maintenance to services is required to be carried out.Description This panel is designed to fit into the structural membrane of jointless plasterboard wall/ceiling systems. It is supplied with a beaded frame to allow for tape and jointing on site and comes complete with a fully removable flush metal door. It is inserted directly into a pre-cut hole through the face of the wall/ceiling prior to wet finishes being applied. This is a 1 Hour Fire Rated Access Panel which has been tested to B.S.476: Part 22:1987.
